area of the hall=18×12.5=225 sq m
length of the hall with carpetl=18-1=17m
breadth of the hall with carpet=13.5-1=11.5m
area of the hall with carpet=17×11.5= 195.5 sq m
portion left uncovered=225-195.5=19.5 sq m

breadth of the hall with carpet=13.5-1=11.5m
