Given :

Particle with charge -q is at center of concentric ring of radius r&R where R>r

To Find : Magnitude & direction of Electric feild

Solution:

• It is given that charged particle of charge -q is at centre of rings .

Also , F = Eq

where F is Force , E is Electric feild & q is magnitude of charge

• Electric feild due to charged ring at its centre is Zero

=> Electric feild due to charged ring of radius R is zero

=> Electric feild due to charged ring of radius r is zero

• Since , Magnitude of Electric feild at the centre of Both ring is zero

so, magnitude of Electrostatic Force will also be zero .

• Hence , Force on charge -q placed at the centre of two charged ring is zero
