Answer:

Let the weight of copper and tin in the alloy of 156 kg be 4x and 8x

Then 4x+8x =156

12x = 156

x= 13

So weight of copper is 8 x i.e 13 × 8

is 104 kg

And weight of tin is 4x i.e 4×13

is 52 kg.......

Step-by-step explanation:

A certain alloy made of tin and copper is in the ratio of 4:8,

Convert the ratio into simplest form,

4:8 /4/4= 1:2,

substitute the values given in the form of x as

x+2x=156,

3x=156,

x=156/3

x=52

So, the alloy contains 52 kgs of tin .

and the alloy contains 2(52)=104 kgs of copper.

Hope it helps you.//✔✔✔
