average wager = total wager / total employees

⇒ 25.50 = total wager/1000

⇒ total wager = Rs 25 , 500

let wages of a man for a day = x

so wages of a woman for a day = x - 5

600 ( x )  + 400 ( x -5 ) = 25500

600x + 400x - 2000 = 25500

1000x = 25500+ 2000

x = 27500/1000 = 27.5

x - 5 = 27.5 - 5 = 22.5

hence wages of a men for a day = Rs 27.5

and wages of women for a day =  Rs 22.5
