A certain force is exerted for 1.2s raises the speed of an object from 1.8 m/s to 4.2 m/s. Find its acceleration, if the mass of the object is 5.5 kg. Calculate the force applied.

Answer:

acceleration =change in velocity/time

=(4.2-1.8)/1.2=2.4/1.2=2ms^-2

force=mass×acceleration

=5.5×2=11N

a=v-u/t

a=4.2-1.8/1.2
acc.=2 m/s^2

Now force

F=ma
F= 5.5*2
F= 11 N
