A certain mass of gas occupies 2litres at 27 degree celsius and 100 pascle .Find the temperature when volume and pressure becomes half of their initial value.

From the Ideal gas equation,
P x V / T = constant.
Now, initially,
P = 100 pascal
V = 2 L
T = 27+273 K = 300 K
Then, P = 50 pascal
V = 1 L
Putting them in the equation, T = 300/4 K = 75 K = 75 - 273 degree C = - 198 degree C
