The number is 54

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the unit's place digit be y

Let the ten's place digit be x

So, number = 10x+y

Reversed number = 10y+x

A certain number is less than the number obtained by reversing the digits by 9

So. 10y+x-(10x+y)=9

10y+x-10x-y=9

9y-9x=9

y-x=1 ---- 1

The sum of two numbers is 77

So,10x+y+10y+x=77

11x+11y=77

x+y=7 ---2

Add 1 and 2

y-x+x+y=1+7

2y=8

y=4

Substitute value of y in 1

So, 4-x=1

5=x

So, The number is 54
