Ans:

Lets vivek start at B at t=0

the first bus start from A at t=0

from conditions , let x be the distance at which vivek and the first bus meets.

so the time 't' will be same for both at the first meeting point

vivek,     36*t= x

1st bus    45*t=(180-x)

on solving above two we get,

t=20/9,  x= 80

total time for vivek,=180/36=5hrs

so for vivek the remaining 100 kms are to be travelled by (total time taken by vivek - 'x'), = 5 - (20/9) = 25/9 hrs

convert to mins, (25/9)*60 = 500/3=166.66

for every 10 mins buses travel, so number of buses are, (166.6/10)=16+first bus= 16+1=17
