Let A get a, B gets b and C gets c chocolate

5a = b + c --- (1)

4b = a + c --- (2)

b = a + 2 --- (3)

By (2) and (3), c = 3a + 8 --- (4)

By (1), (3) and (4), 5a = 4a + 10, a = 10

Now by (4), c = 38

Now by (3), b = 12

So,.

A gets 10

B gets 12

C get 38

Concept

Aptitude tests that test logical reasoning include questions that call for a high level of analysis in order to reach the right answer.

Given

Given the chocolates are divided among Ajaya , Sujaya and Vijay

1/5th Ajay gets

2/4th Sujaya gets

Sujaya gets 2 more than Ajaya

Find

We need to find the number of chocolates that ajaya gets

Let Ajay gets the chocolates be a

Let Sujaya gets the chocolates be b

Lets Vijaya gets the chocolates be c

Now according to the Statement

The statement of Ajaya

5a = b + c --- (1)

The statement for Sujaya

4b = a + c --- (2)

If sujaya gets 2 more chocolates than Ajaya

b = a + 2 --- (3)

By (2) and (3), c = 3a + 8 --- (4)

By (1), (3) and (4), 5a = 4a + 10, a = 10

Now by (4), c = 38

Now by (3), b = 12

So,

The number of chocolates Ajay gets is 10

The number of chocolates Sujaya gets is 12

The number of Chocolates Vijaya gets is 38
