let, total number of men=X
if 10 men less,then total number of members are (x-10)
X number of men finish a work in 100 days
1 number of men finish this work in (100*X) days
(x-10) number of men finish this work in 100x/(x-10) days
according to the question, if there were 10 men less,it would take 10 days more
therefore,total time=(100+10)=110days
therefore,
100x/(x-10)=110
100x=110(x-10)
100x=110x-1100
10x=1100
X=110
total number of men are 110
