Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, my friend,

These type of problems have Inverse Proportion.

Hence for inverse proportion, we have a formula.

xy = K (Where k is a constant)

Men required to work and time take for them to complete are two quantities which are inversely proportional to each other.

Let's call men at the beginning which Is X as M_{1}

Let's call No. of days taken for x men to complete which is 100 as T_{1}

Let's call No. of days which is 10 days more = 100 + 10 = 110 days as T_{2}

Let's call No. of men required which is X - 10 as M_{2}

So Now M_{1} T_{1} =M_{2} T_{2}

By equating you get,

=>(X)(100) = (X - 10)(110)

=> 100X = 110X - 1100

=> 110X - 100X = 1100

=> 10X = 1100

=> X = 110

Hence, there were 110 men at the beginning.
