A certain number of people are standing in a straight line, and all of them
are facing north. Arunima is 19th from the right end of the line, and Arun is
at the 15th position from the left end of the line. Both, Arunima and Arun
interchange their positions, after which Kritika who was 24th from the left
end is now at the 5th position to the left of Arun's new position. How many
people are there in the line in total?

Seating Arrangement

Arun is at 15th position from the left end.

Arunima is 19th position from the right end .

On combining these statements, we get, the position shown in image attached.

New position is also represented after interchange of positions takes place.

The position of Kritika is 24 th from left end and 5th left to Arun's new position.

So, Arun's\ new \ position \ from \ left\ end = Kritika's\ position +5=24+5=29

Total number of people in the row =29+19-1=47

Hence total number of people in the line is 47.
