Answer:

Number of electrons present on it = 1563

Explanation:

Given,

the total charge present on the particle is ,Q = 2.5\times 10^{-16}

As we know that charge carried by each electrons is , q = 1.6\times 10^{-16}

Since, we have to calculate the total number of electrons present on the particle.

Lets consider number of electrons present on the particle is n,

then n can be given by

n\ =\ \dfrac{Q}{q}

   =\ \dfrac{2.5\times 10^{-16}}{1.6\times 10^{-19}}

      =\ 1.5625\times 10^{3}

      =1562.5

Since, the number of electrons can not be 1562.5 according to rule of quantisation of charge rule, So the number of electrons will be 1563.
