A certain shade of green paint is made from six
parts yellow mixed with four parts blue. If
seventy cans of paint was used in all, how many
cans of blue were used?​

Given that:-

yellow paint cans/blue paint cans = 6 /4

∴ No. of yellow paint cans =6x

No. of blue paint cans =4x

Given that total no. of cans used =70

∴6x+4x=70

⇒10x=70

⇒x= 70 /10 =7

∴ No. of yellow paint cans used =6x=6×7=42

No. of blue paint cans used =4x=4×7=28

Hence 28 cans of blue paint were used.
