A certain spring hangs vertically. When a body of mass M=1.75 kg is suspended from it, its length increases by 6.2 cm. The spring is then mounted horizontally, and a block of mass m=2.22kg is attached to the spring. The block is free to slide along a frictionless horizontal surface, as shown in figure below.
