Xylem tissue was blocked.

• The wilting of the leaves of the plants, happens when there is a shortage of water in the internal anatomy of the plant.

• Now,the xylem is the only tissue which carries the water (soaked by the roots) to the every portion of the plant.

• If the wilting is caused by some kind of tissue blockage then the tissue will be the xylem for sure. A blockage in xylem tissue will prevent the entry of water in the leaves which will cause wilting.
