The correct answer will be option b.

  • Decantation is the process of separation od two immiscible substances such as chalk and water.
  • Chalk and water can be separated by filtration : A funnel and filter paper are taken. The chalk and the water solution are poured. The water comes out of the filter paper and falls into the glass and the chalk dust remains on the filter paper due to the large  particles.
  • The chalk can then be dried by evaporation.
