Given info : A charge of 5μC experiences a force of 2N in a electric field.

To find : the potential gradient at the point.

solution : we know, electric field = - (potential gradient)

here force = 2N

charge = 5μC

so, electric field = force/charge = 2N/5μC = 4 × 10⁵ N/C

now potential gradient = -(electric field)

= - 4 × 10⁵ N/C

therefore the potential gradient at the point is -4 × 10⁵ N/C.
