Let the positive charge be on the left side of negative charge.
Electric field to the left of the positive charge, along the line joining the two charges:
E = (1/4π∈) [ q1 / d1² + q2 /d2² ]
= 9 * 10⁹ * 10 * 10⁻⁶ [ 1/1² - 1/2² ] Newt/Coul
= 6.35 * 10⁴ Newt/Coul
direction towards left away from the two charges.
Electric field at 1 meter away from negative charge on the right of it along the line joining them.
E = same magnitude .. same steps as above..
direction is towards left side towards the negative charge.
