A charge of 120 coulombs flows through a wire in one minute. Find the electric currentflowing through it.

answer :

given Electric charge =120 coulombs

time = 1min = 60 sec

current I = Q/T

=120/60

=20 amperes

Answer: I=2 amperes

Explanation:

  • Electric current is defined as the rate of flow of charge across a conductor.
  • So, we can write Current(I)=\frac{Charge(Q)}{Time(t)}
  • Given, Q= 120 coulombs and t=60 seconds.
  • Current(I)=\frac{120\ Coulombs}{60\ seconds}

                         = 2 Amperes

  • Hence, the current flowing through the wire will be 2 amperes.
