a charge of 2 coulomb is moved in an electric field from infinity to two points P and Q if the work done in bringing the charge 2 point P is 14 Joule and in bringing it to the point is 18 joule calculate the potential difference between the point P and Q

Answer:

Work done = 14 joule

Charge = 2 coulomb

Potential of point A VA = 14 J / 2C = 7V

Given work done = 18 Joule  

    Charge = 2  coulomb

Potential of point A VB = 18 J / 2C = 9V

Potential differences between two point A and B is  

V = V  at B - V at A

 = 9V - 7V = 2V
