When a charged q is placed inside a metallic spherical shell, the equal and opposite charge is induced on the inner surface and outer surface of the shell. i.e charge inner surface =−q and charge on outer =+q

Here initially charge −150nC resides on the outer surface of the shell.

When 50nC is placed inside the shell, charge on inner surface =−50nC and charge outer surface =−150+50=−100nC .
