Given :  A charity organization had a fundraiser where they sold each ticket for a fixed price. After selling 200200200 tickets, they had a net profit of $12,000 . $1,200dollar just to cover necessary production costs

To find : equation for the relationship between the net profit and number of tickets sold.

Solution:

y = net profit

x = Number of ticket sold

Profit on one ticket = P

Profit on 200 tickets  =  200P  - 1200

12000 = 200P  - 1200

=> 13200 = 200P

=> 66 = P

y = 66x  - 1200

is the relationship between the net profit and number of tickets sold.
