Answer:

 d=474.8 m

 t=0.00524 h =18.88 sec

Explanation:

Given that

Speed of cheetah ,u= 90.5 km/h

Speed of gazelle ,v= 74.7 km/h

Lets take cheetah  catch gazelle at distance s from initial position of gazelle.

Lets take they meet after time t

We know that

Distance =  Velocity x time

For  gazelle

 s = v  .

s = 74.7 x t         -----------1

For cheetah

Distance =  Velocity x time

s+0.0829 = 90.5 x t       -------------2

From equation 1 and 2

74.7 x t + 0.0829 = 90.5 x t

 t=0.00524 h =18.88 sec

s = 74.7 x t

s = 74.7 x 0.00524

s=0.39 Km

So the distance cover by cheetah ,d= s + 0.0829

 d = 0.0829 + 0.39 Km

 d= 0.4748 Km

 d=474.8 m
