Given :  A chemical compound contains 26% of zinc , 20% of copper and rest is Nickel

To find :  in grams the quantity of each content in the sample of 1 kg.

Solution:

Sample = 1 kg  = 1000 g

26% of zinc

=> Zinc = (26/100) 1000 = 260 g

20% of copper

=> Copper = (20/100) 1000 = 200 g

Rest is Nickel =  1000 - 260  - 200

= 540 g

Zinc = 260 g

Copper =   200 g

Nickel  = 540 g
