PyrogallolPyrogallol belongs to phenol family. Its IUPAC name benzene-1,2,3-triol. It is used as a photographic film developer and in chemical synthesis. 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene gets oxidised in presence of O2 and so it absorbs O2.
