Answer:

258.75

Step-by-step explanation:

cost of 800 tablets = 300

Cost of each tablet = 300 / 800 = 0.375

Selling price of 200tablets

SP = cost price - loss

SP = 200(0.375) - 5%

SP = 75 - 5% (75)

SP = 75 - 3.75

SP = 71.25

Selling price of 600tablets to gain 10%

SP= cost + gain ( complete 800 table to gain 10%)

SP = 300 + 10%

SP = 300 + 10% (300)

SP = 300 + 30

SP = 330 ( total SP )

Total selling price should have been 330 to gain 10%

Total SP = SP of 200 tablet + SP of 600 tablet

330 = 71.25 + SP of 600 tablet

SP of 600 tablet = 330 - 71.25

SP of 600 tablet = 258.75

Hence, he has to sell remaining so as to gain 10% on the whole at 258.75
