then side=2cm
no of squares in a row=8
so the width=8*2=16cm
there's a border of 2cm,so the side of board will be 16+2+2(2cm added on both sides)
so side of chess board=20cm
area=S^2=20cm^2=400 square cm
perimeter=4S=4cm*20=80cm
