A chess board is given .2 squares are choosen randomly.find the probability so that no common sides of square matches.

We may count the couples of adjacent squares in the following way: for any square, we may consider how many adjacent squares there are, sum everything, divide by two:

4⋅2+24⋅3+36⋅42=112.

The couples of squares are (642)=2016, hence the wanted probability is

1122016=118.
