We are given that a child ate 35% of chocolates

So, chocolates left = 100%-35% = 65%

Let the total number of chocolates be x

We are also given that he left with 13 chocolates

So,

65% of x = 13

65/100 × x = 13

x = 13 × 100/65

x = 100/5

x = 20

Hence the number of chocolates the child originally had was 20
