A child had certain amount of chocolates. He ate 35per cent of the chocolates but still had 13 chocolates. What is the number of chocolates the child originally had?

Let number of chocolates be x

A/Q he have consumed 35% of x

and remained with 13 chocolates

= x - 35x/100 = 13

= 65x/100 = 13

= 65x =1300

x = 1300/65

x = 20

hence , he had 20 chocolates with him.
