Hi friend
-------------
Your answer
-------------------

TIME TAKEN FOR ECHO TO RETURN = 4 SECONDS

SPEED OF SOUND GIVEN = 340m/s

DISTANCE OF CLIFF FROM CHILD=
 \frac{340 \times 4}{2} = 680m
THEREFORE,
------------------

DISTANCE OF CLIFF FROM THE CHILD IS 680 METERS.

HOPE IT HELPS

Time taken by the sound to reach the cliff = 4/2 = 2 sec

Speed of sound in air = 340m/s

Distance of the cliff = Speed * time

= 340 * 2

= 680 m
