To Find : How long will he take to reach -40 steps.​

Solution:

Descends starts from  twenty  steps above the ground floor.

= + 20

To reach -40 steps.​

Steps to be covered = 20 - (-40)  =  60 steps

descends steps Rate  = 10 steps per minute

Time required = Steps/ Rate

= 60/10

= 6 min

it will take 6 mins to reach  -40 steps from + 20 steps
