Given:

Initial velocity of the ball = 20 m/s

Acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s²

To find:

Acceleration of the ball in m/s² when it reaches the top of its trajectory.

Solution:

The ball faces acceleration due to gravity at each point of it trajectory. Initially it goes in upward direction but then a time comes when the ball stops at a point and changes the direction of it's velocity and comes downwards. It is due to the acceleration due to gravity.

Therefore the ball experiences an acceleration of 10 m/s² when it reaches at the top of its trajectory.
