A child pulls a toy 2 metre across the Floor by a string, applies force of constant magnitude of 0.8 Newton. During the first one metre the string is parallel to the floor. During the second metre the string makes an angle of 30 degree with the horizontal. What will be the total work done by the child on the toy?​

Explanation:

W=F.S

for first 1 metre ,

w=1m*0.8N

w=0.8Joules

for second one metre,

w=F.Scos¶ [¶=30°]

w=0.8*1*cos30°

w=0.8*√3/2

w= 0.6√3

total work done = 0.8+0.6√3 Joules
