A child's skipping rope is 210 cm long. How many ropes could I cut from a 10-metre-long piece of rope?

1metre=100cm so 10m×100=1000cm

1)210+210+210+210=840

2)so you can make four skipping ropes from 10 metre long piece of rope

Given the total length of the big rope is 10m.

We know, 1m = 100cm.

So,  10m = 10*100 = 1000cm.

Again, the child's skipping rope has a length of 210 cm.

So, number of such skipping ropes cut from the bigger rope can be found out as:

Number of ropes = Length of bigger rope/Length of 1 skipping rope

= 1000cm/210cm

= 4.76

≈ 4

4 ropes can be cut.
