Hey Pretty Stranger!

• Distance = 90 metres

• Time = 3 minutes

We hafta change the given time in its standard form :

[ 1 minute = 60 seconds, 3 minutes = 60 × 3 = 180 seconds ]

Now, we know that :

 \bigstar \:  \sf \: Speed  =  \dfrac{Distance \: covered}{Time \: taken}

Speed = \sf\cancel\dfrac{90}{180}

Speed = \sf \dfrac{1}{2}

Speed = 0.5 m/s

\therefore Speed of the child is 0.5 m/s.
