Therefore half of 6 cm will be 3cm.

The hypotenuse of the circle is its radius.

Therefore the radius is 5 cm as th diameter is 10cm.

By Pythagoras theorem

(Hypotenuse)^2 = base^2 + height^2

5^2= 3^2+height^ 2

height^2 = 25-9=16

height^2= 16

height=√16=4

Therefore the perpendicular distance is 4cm
