Answer:

O is the centre.

Given:-OM bisects equally AB..(1)

ON bisects equally CD..(2)

and AB bisects equally CD..(3)

⇒AB parallel ON and CD parallel OM

from equations (1),(2) and (3)

⇒ MP parallel ON and PO parallel OM (4) (5)

∴OMPN is a parallelogram.

(since opposite side are parallel.)

But angle ∠ONP=90° =(Given)

∠NPM=90°(Given)

∠NPM=∠NOM [opposite angles of parallelogram]

∴ all angles in the parallelogram are 90°

∴OMPN is a square or rectangle.

∴ length of perpendicular from centre to equal chords are equal.

⇒ON=OM

adjacent sides of rectangular OMPN are equal.

⇒ OMPN is a square

Cramer’s Rule Questions

Solve the following system of equations by Cramer’s rule:

2x – 3y + 5z = 11

3x + 2y – 4z = – 5

x + y – 2z = – 3

Solve the following system of linear equations using Cramer’s rule:

5x + 7y = -2

4x + 6y = -3

The cost of 4 kg onion, 3 kg wheat and 2 kg rice is Rs 60. The cost of 2 kg onion, 4 kg wheat and 6 kg rice is Rs 90. The cost of 6 kg onion 2 kg wheat, and 3 kg rice is Rs 70. Find the cost of each item per kg by Cramer’s rule.
