Length of chord = 14cm
Angle subtended = 90°
In ΔOAB, ∠O= 90° and OA = OB = r (radii of a circle)
∴ΔOAB is Right angled isosceles triangle. So, using pythagoras theorem,
r²+r² = 14²
2r²=196 => r²=98
fArea of minor sector = × π × r²
= × × 98
= ×22×14
= 77 cm²
