A chord of a circle of radius 14 cm subtends a right angle
at the centre. What is the area of the minor sector ?

the area of the minor sector= 1/4 x Area of the circle with given radius

=1/4 x 22/7 x 14 x 14 (Since area of circle= pi x radius x radius; pi= 22/7)

=154 square units
