We have a circle of radius 8.5 cm.

And Distance between the chord and center is

5 cm.

OB = 8.5 cm (radius)

OP = 5 cm

Here, OP is perpendicular to AB

So we have AB = 1/2 PB

OB² = OP² + PB²

PB² = OB² – OP²

PB² = ( 8.5² – 5² ) cm

= 47.25 cm

PB = 6.8 cm (approx)

Now, chord of circle

= 6.8 × 2 cm
