drop a perpendicular from centre of the circle to the chord.
a perpendicular drawn from centre of the circle to a chord will bisect the chord.
from the question,
length of perpendicular =10cm
join the centre to any end of the chord which makes a right angle triangle with base 5√5cm.
by applying Pythagoras theorem,
radius^2=perpendicular ^2+base^
radius ^2=10^2+5√5^2
radius^2=100+125
radius^2=225
radius =√225
therefore, radius =15cm
