A chord of circle of radius 12 cm subtends at angle of 120 degree at the center.Find the area of the corresponding segment of circle? use π =3.14 and √3 =1.73.​

Area of sector of circle=(angle/360)*π*r*r

=(120/360)*3.14*12*12

=150.72 sq cm

Area of the triangle made by the two radii and one chord subtended by the angle 120°

=1/2*12√3*6

=1/2*12*1.73*6

=62.28

Area of segment of circle=Area of sector - Area of the triangle

=150.72-62.28

=88.44 sq cm
