diameter, d = 20 cm

# Solution -

Radius of the circle is calculated as -

r = d/2

r = 20/2

r = 10 cm

Distance of the chord from the centre of the circle is calculated by -

x = √[r² - (l/2)²]

x = √[10² - (16/2)²]

x = √(100 - 64)

x = √(36)

x = 6 cm

Hence, distance of chord from centre of the cicle is 6 cm.
