A chord of length is 10cm is at a distance of 12cm for the center of the circle ,find it area

Length of chord = 10cm
Distance from centre = 12cm
By Pythagoras theorem,
h×h = (p×p) + (b×b)
h^2 = 10^2 + 12^2
h^2 = 100 + 144
h^2= 244
h = √244
h = 15.62 = 16 cm
Therefore ,
r = 16 cm
Area of circle = πr^2
= 22/7 × 16×16
= 804.25 cm^2

According to the data

the information froms a triangle

● the height of the triangle is 12cm

● the base of the triangle is 10cm

》Area of a triangle = 1/2 × base× height

= 1/2 × 10 × 12

= 1 × 5 × 12 =60cm^2

♡ Area of the triangle formed = 60cm^2
