A cinema hall is to be constructed in which each row must have 36 seats. Determine the minimum number of row required to seat 600 person at a time

Given - number of seats - 36

Number of people - 600

Find - number of rows to seat given number of people at a time.

Answer -

As the question states, the number of rows required for seating 600 people at a time can be calculated by using arithmetic operation of multiplication. Let the number of rows be denoted by X.

Therefore ,

X*36 = 600

X = 16.66

Since 16 rows can seat - 576 and 17 rows can seat - 612 and number of rows can not be in fraction.

Hence 17 rows are the minimum number of rows required for seating 600 people at a time with 36 seats in each row.

Total number of persons = 600

minimum no.of row = 600÷36

=16.66

which means 17 rows
