Given : a circle and semicircle have equal parameters.

To Find :  the ratio of the area of the circle of that semicircle

Solution:

Let say radius of circle  = x

Hence area = πx²

Perimeter = 2πx

Let say radius of circle  = y

=> area = (1/2) πy²

Perimeter = πy + 2y  = y ( π+ 2)

2πx =  y ( π+ 2)

=> x = y ( π+ 2)/2

area of circle = πx²  = π y²( π+ 2)²/4

area of semicircle  =  πy² /2

Ratio = ( π+ 2)²/2

Hence ratio of the area of the circle of that semicircle  =  ( π+ 2)²/2
