Given :

Diameter = 7 cm

To Find :

Area of the circle

Solution :

We know, radius of the circle is half of the diameter.

so, Radius of the circle (r) = $\frac{Diameter}{2}$

                                           = $\frac{7}{2}$

                                           = 3.5 cm

The formula for the area of a circle is πr²

∴ Area of the circle = πr²

                                =  $\frac{22}{7}$ × (3.5)²

                                = 38.5 cm²

Hence, the area of the circle having diameter of 7 cm is found to be 38.5 cm².
