262.5 cm² is The area of the remaining portion of the square which is not enclosed by the circle

Step-by-step explanation:

A circle is inscribed in a square of side 35cm

Area of square = 35²  cm²

Diameter of Circle = 35 cm

Radius of Circle = 35/2 cm

Area of Circle = π * Radius²

= π (35/2)²

= 35² π /4

Area of the remaining portion of the square which is not enclosed by the circle = 35² - 35² π /4

= 35² (4 - π)/4

using π = 22/7

= 262.5 cm²
